Slow Motion on a Small Budget

All of this new technology absolutely amazes me. Take a look at this footage. My friend sent this to me and I wondered what kind of camera system they used. To my surprise, it was a Canon 7D and some post production magic. It was shot on a 7D at 60 fps and then converted in post using Twixtor. Do you have any idea how expensive this would have been if it was done on film 10 years ago. I can’t believe the tools that are available today. Not only are the tools limitless in terms of creativity, but they don’t cost a fortune. This was done with a $1,700 camera and some software. If things keep heading this way, I am going to be lose by job and be replaced with a kid shooting movies with his mobile phone.
